1.11.2001 More unsettling details on who might have done the atrocity
I suggested on another page that Bin Laden may not have carried out the 9/11 atrocity (which took place on the 11th anniversary of the Bush New World Order Speech), or he might have been acting in alliance with the US far right militias, or his network might have been infiltrated by US or Israeli agents. Since than there have been other developments.
a. US netheads are saying that two floors at the trade centre were occupied by FBI offices conducting major investigations on financial market manipulation involving Federal Reserve boss Alan Greenspan, and sanctions-breaking by oil industry bosses in central Asia. The source is said to be Seymour Hersh a respected journalist writing in the New Yorker, which would be pretty solid, but I haven't checked if this is true. They go on to cite tv reports that shortly before the building's collapse there was devastation on these two lower floors which could not have been caused by the plane impacts.
b. The Observer (London) reported on Sunday (28 Oct P2) that the Right Wing militias are under increasing suspicion on the anthrax front and that some are openly supporting Bin Laden. If true, attempts were made by the culprits to make it look Islamic, with one letter posted in Malaysia and hand written Islamic slogans on others.
c. Today's Guardian (London, 1.11.01, front page) reports FBI sources as claiming that a group of people with knives similar to the hijackers' and apparently preparing for an attack on a nuclear installation had Israeli passports and were mysteriously released. (Needless to say, most FBI, police etc would be as unaware of any plots as the rest of us, even plots from within the US government)
d. It has been reported that the Joint Chiefs of Staff proposed what would be a similar provocation in the 60's to set up Cuba. This story comes from respected intelligence writer James Bamford who claims to have seen, but so far as I can see has not produced, the relevant memo.
The Death toll.
This is now well down, ap is estimating around 2700 including
the missing. This has not stopped The Guardian claiming 4-6,000 and politely
refusing my invitation to put a correction in their corrections column.
