All our coffees are pure arabica except Continental (34% robusta ), Medium Continental (17% robusta), Mocha Blend (40% robusta) and Strong French (75% robusta).

We pack into metalled valve packs. This is the best system because the one-way valves let out the carbon dioxide formed after roasting or grinding, driving out any oxygen.

Most of our coffee is despatched within a week of roasting or less. To maintain the unique freshly roasted flavour, please store refrigerated, this is particularly important for mild roast and ground coffee.

You can leave us to calculate your discount, but here is an example:

You buy 1kg Kenya beans, 1/2 kg French beans and 1kg Java ground. Total purchase 2.5kg puts you on 80p discount level. This gets you £1-60 off Kenyan and Guatamalan, 40p off strong french (half the rate). You also get £1.00 beans discount so your total is £3.00 off.

Sample offer

You can purchase a
coffee plant  sampler pack: 165g of each of any three coffees (except Jamaica Blue Mountain), packed in metal valve bags for £8.00 including post and packing. Don't forget to tell us your grind. Sorry but we can only do this once per address.

Gifts

We can send sample packs and any produce to friends and charge it to your card

Unroasted coffee beans

NB home roasting is very difficult. Domestic roasters are available but we have had poor reports of them. It is possible to roast by hand. Our biggest customers are people of North African
descent who do this. This table gives the price per kilo. It depends on the total amount you buy.
Orders can be mixed. These prices exclude Jamaica Blue Mountain and one or two other coffees.

Organic and Fairtrade coffee

We are one of the UK' s longest standing organic coffee processors, selling fairly traded and organic coffee since 1991, and we believe we have the largest range of organic and Fairtrade coffee of any roaster in the UK.

Our organic coffees are fully certified with an audit trail going back to the plantation. We are inspected and certified annually by the Soil Association.

As of May 2005 all our Fairtrade retail coffee is audited by the Fairtrade network and carries the Fairtrade mark (although labels are still being updated)
